The wireless revolution isn’t coming to healthcare it’s already here.
From sensors that whisper a patient’s vital signs in real time to connected pill dispensers that close the loop between prescription and adherence, medicine and pharmacy are shifting from place-bound encounters to a living, always-on network. Telemedicine has become the new front door to care, while telepharmacy and e-prescriptions knit together clinicians, dispensaries, and patients with a speed and precision that were unthinkable a few years ago.
Alongside this transformation, online medicine retail has exploded into a dynamic new industry. Its advantages are undeniable: broader access, sharper price transparency, faster delivery, and better continuity of therapy. Yet growth brings risk counterfeits, uneven quality, opaque fees, spotty cold-chain logistics, and privacy concerns can quietly erode trust.
That is why everyday users need more than convenience; they need clarity. They deserve clear guidance on evolving rules, plain-English comparisons of services, and a spotlight on verified suppliers who publish transparent pricing, reliable delivery windows, and proven quality controls. Our mission is to make this ecosystem navigable highlighting reputable platforms, surfacing truly advantageous purchase and shipping terms, and translating complex policies into practical choices. In a market moving this fast, trusted information is not a luxury; it is the infrastructure that makes safe, affordable, and timely access to medicines possible.
In December 2016, PCHAlliance and the Wireless-Life Sciences Alliance (WLSA) decided to merge their membership and meeting operations. This process has now been completed, with core WLSA members joining PCHAlliance. All of WLSA’s activities, including their Convergence Summit, have been integrated into PCHAlliance’s annual Connected Health Conference. Additionally, WLSA’s OOBR project will transition to a new entity, with PCHAlliance and HIMSS expected to join. Rob McCray, WLSA’s co-founder and CEO, is now a part of PCHAlliance’s Board of Managers and oversees the OOBR project. WLSA, established in 2005, has been dedicated to the advancement of digital health technologies. Their goals align with PCHAlliance’s aim to boost the use of clinical tech in consumer health. The merger aims to strengthen global relationships and offer greater visibility in the connected health sector.
