“In the next 10 years, data science and software will do more for medicine than all of the biological sciences together,” said venture capitalist Vinod Khosla. By 2019, 76% of primary care physicians in small practices and 90% of primary care physicians in larger practices are expected to have adopted a basic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System. EHR systems have already reduced hospitalizations and outpatient care costs.
