2007 Wireless-Life Sciences Investors Meeting

On Thursday, April 12, 2007, the WLSA will present an Investors Meeting to facilitate discussion and information exchange between capital sources and successful companies achieving traction and developing key emerging technologies in this rapidly advancing sector.

This is a one-day invitation-only meeting comprised of short presentations, panel discussions, and dialogue is designed to provide capital investors with insights into the most promising opportunities in the convergence of wireless technology, healthcare, clinical trials, medical devices and diagnostics in order to reduce costs and improve healthcare outcomes for consumers.

QUALCOMM Ventures and Len Lauer, Executive Vice President and Group President of QUALCOMM will present an ‘insider’s look’ at QUALCOMM investing and acquisition activity.  Drawing on his experience as Chief Operating Officer of Sprint, Len will also offer insights into the mobile market. The conference will also address the success of CardioNet, Jim Sweeney’s entrant in the field and perhaps the most successful pure play wireless health company to date.  Jim has recently completed a $110 Million fundraising to support acquisitions and continued growth of the Company.  Other presentations by some of the lead innovators in the field and discussion among investors will ensure that the meeting is a valuable experience. 

The meeting will be organized around these segments:

• Introductory remarks by Don Jones (Vice President Business Development Healthcare, QUALCOMM) and Rob McCray (Managing Partner, Triple Tree LLC)
•  Panel discussion of opportunities and challenges relating to:
• Implantable and wearable radio-equipped medical sensors
• Patient-specific and population management opportunities utilizing cellular-equipped devices
• Collection and management of vast amounts of personal data from implanted and wearable medical sensors
• Luncheon presentation by Len Lauer, Executive Vice President and Group President of QUALCOMM.
