DDSTUDIO CEO Charles Curbbun selected to judge innovations at 2015 International CES
SAN DIEGO (THURSDAY, December 4th) – DDSTUDIO Founder and CEO Charles Curbbun has been selected as a judge for the CES Innovation Awards, an annual competition celebrating exceptional design and engineering in the consumer technology industry. The awards are one of the highlights of the massive annual gathering in Las Vegas for the consumer technologies market, where next-generation innovations are introduced and celebrated.
Curbbun will be judging in the Smart Home category, highlighting products designed to provide savvy ways to monitor and control connected home systems. Each judging panel is comprised of 3 experts—an industrial designer, an engineer, and an industry press member. The awards are notable for pitting the innovations of electronics giants against the work of start-ups, with the winners proving year-after-year to forecast the industry’s future.
“Anytime you are selected as an expert in your field and trusted to judge others’ work, it is a great honor,” says Curbbun. “I am excited to see what innovative technologies are going on in the smart home space around the world, and eager to acknowledge the work of thought leaders in this category.”
CES 2015 will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6-9.

About International CES
The International CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years—the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. As the largest hands-on event of its kind, CES features all aspects of the industry. And because it is owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the technology trade association representing the $208 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry, it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers to a forum where the industry’s most relevant issues are addressed.
