97% nursing dissatisfaction rate with EHRs (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2014/09/prweb12182208.htm).  Blumenthal says problem is “humanware, not the software” (http://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/blog/2014/oct/ehrs-the-new-lightning-rod-in-health-care?omnicid=EALERT595094&mid=cfh@cmwf.org).  Software that does not work for humans is useless.  After investing tens of billions of dollars in EHRs that lock providers into permanently expensive ecosystems it is time to focus resources on technologies that help consumers stay healthy and work for patients and clinicians in the real world.
