Cambridge Temperature Concepts recently raised $4.38 million in a round lead by Longwell Venture partners, bringing their total funding to date around $9 million. Cambridge Temperature Concepts’ flagship product is DuoFertility, an assisted natural conception device that includes a small stick-on sensor and handheld reader that tracks biometrics, like body temperature, to help women conceive. The DuoFertility device is offered at three different levels of service: lite, premium, and deluxe, that offer varying services and features, like home pregnancy test kits, and ongoing support from fertility coaches.

Cambridge Temperature Concepts plans to use its recent funds to expand product sales in the United States and develop the next generation of DuoFertility that will include new features, including smartphone connectivity, and metrics, such as sleep analysis.

“In order to develop DuoFertility for ovulation and fertility advice, we had to address factors that affect fertility, such as sleep disturbance,” Hooper said. “We have CE marking for some aspects of sleep disturbance, and this is the area we will focus on next. As an outcomes-based company we see the potential to look other areas, for example working with groups such as pharma to address pain management, as it relates to sleep disturbance.”
