Calgary Scientific Inc., a company known for creating innovative technology for the medical industry, recently announced their Class II clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration. Their enterprise image-viewing solution, ResolutionMD, is now cleared for diagnosis on mobile devices for all imaging modalities.

ResolutionMD allows doctors seamless and secure image access from multiple computers and mobile devices. Practitioners using ResolutionMD can remotely access patient images and reports, collaborate with fellow doctors, and diagnose from any location; its software is compatible with every EMR and easily connects into existing distributed storage systems. Stuart Royal, M.S., M.D., Radiologist-in-Chief at Children’s Hospital of Alabama expounded upon the benefits of ResolutionMD. According to Royal, its “fully accredited, diagnostic image quality and secure solution gives us the flexibility to make clinical decisions from any device type, portable or desktop throughout our healthcare system and off-site.”

Calgary Scientific CEO Byron Osing will be joining the WLSA at our 2014 Convergence Summit, where he will sit on the Hospital Panel with several other industry leaders. Osing will provide insight into the integration of technological solutions into hospitals, remedying every-day problems and fostering connected health.
