Telcare’s Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Verizon’s Converged Health Management Device, a remote monitoring software platform that collects and stores biometric data from personal health devices patients use at home, recently received its second FDA clearance. The clearance allows Verizon’s device to connect with Telcare’s cellular-enabled blood glucose monitoring system and Genesis Health Technologies’ blood glucose monitoring system.

Verizon’s connected health platform is also intended to facilitate communication between clinicians and patients, and groups of people with common ailments. Clinicians can send tasks, surveys and educational messages to patients who also have the option of utilizing the platform’s private social network feature to discuss their condition with family, friends and fellow patients.
