Janssen Healthcare Innovation, a division of Johnson & Johnson, launched their Care4Today™ Mobile Health Manager, version 2.0 – a free, secure, two-way messaging platform, mobile app and website that helps users stay on schedule and keep up with their medication. Care4Today™Mobile Health Manager offers more than simple reminders, providing tools to help encourage users take their medication on time.
First launched in Summer 2012, the re-launched platform offers expanded features including a new family support option that allows users to share their medication information and receive encouragement from their family, as well as adherence charts that can be shared with family members and professional caregivers. Janssen has also pledged to give $0.05 a day to charity when a user meets their daily adherence goals. The mobile service, which device agnostic and is an FDA-registered Class 1, 510K exempt medical device, is the first of a number of programs the company is launching. Others, including a hearth health program and a mental health program, are currently in pilot studies.
